    Default $300 Added value tourney

    How's this for an idea... The next forum exclusive tourney after the one scheduled for 31st January, we could make $20+$2 to enter, with $300 added value to the pot courtesy of poker.co.uk. Again, this tourney will only be open to those who have made 10 or more posts on the forum in the period prior to the event being posted.

    e.g. 15 players @ $20 each = $300 + $300 value added = $600 prizes.

    1st = $300
    2nd = $200
    3rd = $100

    Not bad for $22.

    What does everyone think?

    i like it!!

    only problem i can foresee is that some members might not have the 20 or might not enter because of the fee.....if you just joined and weren't that confident a player you might not be prepared to pay only to come last and would miss out on the fun because of it

    Lol, well as there's only 340 odd shopping days to Christmas...

    Unfortunately, the +$2 part is set by the Poker Network, and cannot be removed.

    I think it is a good idea but not at the moment. With the number of people currently playing the freerolls being quite low I can see adding a price to it possibly halving that number. I think it would be a good idea if the regular posters on the poker forum spent a couple of months refering new members and telling them about the current freeroll offer then adding the $300 when there are more players in the freeroll.

    I also agree with prowlers point that it might exclude players who are fairly new to poker.

    Freerolls can discourage people from playing as well as encourage them due to the reputation for an absurdly low skill level and multiple all-ins every hand. Though the forum freerolls aren't anything like that most freerolls seem to be.

    I'd play a $20+2 with $300 added.

    Sounds good to me, I'd play for $20 + $2 for the $300 added prize fund...

    I think we'll run a $300 added value tourney with a $20+$2 buy in as a tester. I'll be playing to try to win the money back for the forum

    As for the date, how does Tuesday 14th Feb sound? (joke)

    Wednesday 15th Feb at 8.15pm ?
