    Default Forum Freeroll Leaderboard question...

A couple of questions for you:

    1. When should we end season 1? How about the end of April, then run 3 month seasons from then on?

    2. Should be create a system where each player picks their best, say, 5 results. That way, if a player has missed a couple of freerolls, they don't have an unasailable lead to try to catch... By playing more games you are giving yourself more chances to finish in the top spots, but you aren't getting a massive advantage over those who haven't played as many. No disrepect intended to the current leader, trustme, as he has played most of the freerolls, but also done very well in a lot of them

That sounds good. Im gonna start playing these soon as my hours at work are changing. Cant play at the moment because i work late on tuesdays. Once they change i`ll be able to play almost every one, hopefully.

How many people usually play in one of these sessions?

End of April sounds good and with the games being weekly from now on, a 3 month season gives people plenty of games to work out the real winner

I'd like to keep it as it is not purely for the fact that Im in every tuesday doing my bit for charidee (i dont like to talk about it!) but a league table is good because it shows consistancy over all. By picking the best 5 someone could win even though they came last in a couple. During the last freeroll I was keeping an eye on firephil and prowler because out of the players they were closest on points and it makes it interesting trying to keep above them or as close as possible. It makes it competitive. Perhaps the next league will be closer because of this and now everyone knows its every tuesday.

I think leave it as it is, you want to get as many people playing as possible and the leaderboard as it works at the moment is another incentive to play as many games as you can. It's a lot easier from an admin point of view as well, you don't have to faff about working out everyones 5 best finishes.

Okay, it's a deal. Let's keep it as it is.. Hopefully the main incentive to play at the moment is all the free $$$ on offer, rather than winning the leaderboard, so people who have no chance of winning each season won't mind.

I'm going to start the next season the first week in May, and run them every 3 months from then, like so:

    May, June, July (summer)
    Aug, Sept, Oct (autumn)
    Nov, Dec, Jan (winter)
    Feb, Mar, Apr (spring)

just a thought......would it be possible to take say 5 or 10 dollars out of the weekly prize money and put it towards a seat in a major tourney, then at the end of the year whoever has won most seasons or most freerolls or something like that get the seat in a major live game?

I like prowlers idea for the winner of the leaderboard.

if each season is 13 weeks are we going to have 6 games per season? Thats sounds a good amount, people joining the season late won't have to wait too long for the next season and still have chance of cash anyway.
Any time you aggressively play seven deuce off suit, the universe will bend the laws of short term probability in order to re-balance the long term probability abuses by those trashy players who only play premium hands

The freerolls are now almost every Tuesday night, so a 13 week season should be 12 or 13 games.

I like Prowlers idea of taking $10 out the pot and putting towards a big online tourney entry prize. Rather than take money out the pot, I think I can add another $300>$400 prize at the end of each season to the leaderboard winner.

So, for the winner of our innagrual season, I've decided to offer free entry to the Scottish Online Final on 21st May , worth $350, for entry to this event

Good Deal So will we be having a tuesday session every week from the next season? If so i think take the best 11 from 13 as this gives people a small margin for missing games. If we are having less 11 or less i'd score it the same as now.
