Ok then...first i just wanna say gr8 forum. So here goes for my first post.

I saw this thread and i feel it should be at the forefront of this forum. Id imagine most ppl that post here are some sort of gamblers and atleast half have had experiences with roulette. Id even estimate that 5% of them have had good results with the game.

The reason this thread is so important is because fellow gamblers must be fully aware of whats really going with the game. One main point before i start my rant is that this is only about online roulette.

Im a poker player by trade..not a pro but i can earn a few hundred pounds a week playing tight aggressive and that suits me. Ive been playin around 5 years now and ive played day and night, sometimes earning thousands...sometimes losing hundreds. On average im about £300 a week up. Anyway whats this got to do with roulette u ask?

It started when i was 18 years old (a while ago). I went to casino in birmingham and played roulette. Same as most ppl, i started with a nice win. A few hundred. I even put 10 quid on 32red and it came in (the only number i backed when i was pissed). Anyway, six years later with a combination of casino and bookies roulette, i found myself around 40GRAND down, (only playin roulette cos i didnt even know about poker then). When i tell u ive tried every strategy...i really have. I even had 3 or 4 of my own. My favourite was simple. Id go into the bookies and wait for a guy to get rinsed of his money. Id then wait for 5 reds and i would then start betting my numbers which were 32 red and 11 of my favourite black numbers including 0. 0,10,11,17,20,24 and 29 would be heavily covered, the rest would be enough to get just under 3-1. Anyway what a crock of s hit. One day i won 3600 in the machine with my girlfriend of the time. You could say we had a good night. My roll (thats what i called it) was around 9000 and i carried it around. Id prob spend around 700 a day on crap like meals, alton towers lol, clothes for us both, fags, weed, drink etc etc. Anyway, obviously the day came wen i did 8000 in one day and put my fist into the screen. 28 reds followed by 6 of the black numbers i dont cover then another 17 reds and when i was down to my last 30 quid, zero came in with 3 quid on it so basically i got ass rape d.

Now some of you might be thinkin 'it was a crap system anyway' but let me tell u, all systems are as bad as each other. At the time it worked for me so i went with it.

Ok so for the next unfortunate scenario. After reaching about £25 000 down i joined online casinos and poker sites. I am saying this to u by fact. YOU CANNOT WIN. Most of you already know this but have you tried it with all the passion in the world. Its not clever but unfortunately some donky has to and that was me. To cut a long story short ill tell u a couple of the worst things i saw.

I started to realise after hours and hours that it would not go past 22 spins missing out a column. In other words 1-12 had to land 1 in 22 times. So i exploited this a few times and won quite a bit but not alot. Then the inevitable, 28. Now in a three year year period this happened about 6 times to me.....cos i im a sucker for punishment i guess. But also i played one session where i managed to get 2800 of them in 3 hours and then it gave me 36 consecutive losing spins...(if i bet red it came black..if i bet odd it came even, if ibet on 33 numbers it would hit the remaining 3...that last one is a classic.) So finally i get to my point.

Reading some of the posts here, there are some that think online roulette is random. I simply cant stress enough how badly, badly WRONG you are. Live Casino is random, u dont know which way the winds gonna blow, u dont know what the croupiers gonna do, you dont know if hes thinking about shaggin some bird thats playin on his table....U JUST DONT KNOW. He could change the pace of his spin for any reason so its fate almost. (I was a croupier for 8 months. I tried it to stop myself playin. Didnt work i ended up gettin jealous of lucky ppl walking away with money id span in for them and gettin no tip), your not allowed to except tips in this wonderfull country. Gr8 isn't it.

Now back to Online Roulette. Its a program for gods sake. It cannot be 100% random even if it appears so, even if it says so on the internet, even if barrack obama guaranteed it. It AINT FRIGGIN RANDOM. Dont get me wrong, its not a bloke with a switchboard waiting for you to bet and them churning out the opposite. Its actually worse because atleast that would be understandable, you could get your head round that and just give up. Noooooo. Its very very very very very subtle. Hell you might even win on your first 50 sessions. I have. Ohhh its gr8, your 2000 pounds up and addicted for life. That puts u in gr8 stead to fu k urself up completely. The trick is to realise its the same as the bookies. U just cant trust it. Its not like fruit machines where its on a % cos ive waited for a guy in the bookies to lose 3grand and then its taken 3grand off me so it prob aint %. Its a force of nature that is not meant to be figured out im afraid. FAR TOO MUCH MONEY is at stake. Even the regulators are in on it. Not the majority, the minority as always. Some lovely fellows somewhere are proper rakin it in somewhere, what can u do eh?

To finish off ill just say that its tampered with in a way that is so subtle, i dont have the iq to deal with it and neither do most of you. Ppl will read this and some will still believe in their random number b ollo cks but experience is key and i have bags of it. Im an addicted gambler that has to walk past the bookies talking to myslef so i dont remember its there. Sad but its worked i aint been in for almost 3 years. If it werent for poker id be on the scrapheap cos any gambler that relies on luck or even worse, a computer with a so called rng, is in BIG BIG trouble.

I hope i did not bore you too much, im sure this has given someone outthere a useful insight into the horribly corrupt world we live in.

P.S you will notice how poker sites are starting to use in house casinos. Remeber, as good as the poker is, they are relying on ppl like me to switch over and have a few leasurely spins. Dont be a mug, i did that already for you, you've heard the results. Its a nice world we live in but we are generally only here to be exploited. Good day gentlemen.

    Hi

So many people say that roulette is unbeatable! I would hazard a guess that it's because they have never done it! Ask a maths person if you could possibly spin 20 zeros in an unbroken sequence and they'll confidently reply, "Yes, because anything is possible." I have no problem with this but if you then ask them if it is probable then they are likely to heistate and hum and hah a bit because let's face it I don't think any of us is likely to witness this event in any of our lifetimes!
    Do you agree or not?

The word most often used wrongly is "consistently". This does not mean betting every spin to win and that's where many roulette players go wrong. They want to win every spin! I do not know of any strategy that can pick every spin or anywhere near it. However, there are strategies that can win consistently if you don't bet every spin and watch and wait until better betting opportunities come along. I am talking about the outside bets only.

Think about it: the columns/dozens give you approx 66% chance of winning if you back two. With a sensible money management approach you can make that 66% work in your favour. I have been doing it for years.

    Kind regards
    WRX

    Hi Steve!
Do you mean you wait some spins before betting on 2 columns/dozens and doubling when you lose? Then you have a percentage of +- 66%.
    I'm wrong?

    Thanks.

    Hi Sappaper

Basically the answer is YES. By waiting for my 'signal' or cue to bet I increase the odds in my favour. Mathematicians will disagree because the wheel has no memory etc but we must remember that, as humans, WE do have a memory. A very vital part of roulette betting.

I record every spin while I'm at the table but only bet when I calculate the odds are well in my favour. For those who have never really won consistently at roulette I can see you becoming fustrated or even angry at me for suggesting that a player can manipulate the odds by just waiting.

I may have two bets per 90 minutes on a "Rapid Roulette" wheel where the dealer is real but the selections and money payout etc are electronic. It spins every 40 seconds or so which is ample time to record and invest. Because I wait until the odds are well in my favour I can afford to bet the table maximum twice within those 90 minutes and then leave.

I used to triple up my bets if I lost on the columns/dozens but found that chasing losses is a quick road to losing your entire Bank Roll. Now I don't need to do that because I wait and wait until I'm 'certain'. Ok, what about if I lose? - I have so much faith in my strategy that I just absorb the loss and make it up with my next two wins and from then on it's profit again.
I have tried chasing with many strategies but have never come out on top in the long term - the House Edge or the Possibility factor will catch up with you eventually. It is a well-known fact in professional player circles, that the longer you stay betting at a table, the more likely you are to lose. That's why even though I'm at the table for 90 minutes I only bet twice!! and there's the difference.

I hope this helps. If not please feel free to ask any other questions.

    Cheers
    WRX

Im gonna say the wheel doesnt remember because Im a poker player. Same as the cards dont remember and your Aces can get cracked 10x in a row by deuce-seven. Its just unlikely.

    Default Thanks Steve

Thanks Steve! I still have some questions...
I record every spin while I'm at the table but only bet when I calculate the odds are well in my favour.
How do you calculate the odds? I think that's not possible, because the chance of 5 times the 1st row = the same as 5 times the 2nd. Please explain yourself.

Because I wait until the odds are well in my favour I can afford to bet the table maximum twice within those 90 minutes and then leave.
This sounds risky if i understand what you mean... So if the table max is 300 for example, you bid that amount 2 times in 90min, without losing your money at least once?
    You use live roulette?

Some months ago i start playing roulette with an amount of €100. After a few days i cashed out €1100. But the strategy i used is very risky. I start bidding on 1 of the 3 columns after that column didn't appear 5 times. When i lost, i doubled my bet until i won.
    I started with €1... (martingale)
I made profit, but i think i was very lucky that time.

(picture added by rfph1 - since post Dice is talking about has been deleted)

You win the prize for spelling "roulette" 4 different ways and none of them right.

    Default win at roulette ?

Its just not possible to win at Roulette. The reason is simple... the odds ensure that you will always lose more than you gain. ( the exception of course is the occasional lucky streak, and leaving the table when you are ahead ) but otherwise you lose.

Ive tried everything i can think of and also quite e few methods ive read online, over many hours of testing, from simple outside bets, to betting on two of the available dozens or two of the available columns, to single numbers, to progressively adding more corners or streets, or novel combinations of this and that etc. Nothing works. Its better to have a method than none at all, but having a method just means you lose at a slower rate.

Ive never bought or tried any software that claims to make you a winner. I don't believe it, because it doesn't have anything to do with prediction. any number or any colour can come up at any time.

In the end I've come to the conclusion that since you lose in the end anyway, the best methods are the simplest, and that means the " outside bets" my favourite being red or black.Only one thing ensures a steadily climbing profit ( for a while ) It's nothing new. We've and we've all heard of it before .. doubling up .. or some other variation of using progressively larger bets. But that doesn't work either because it wont be very long before you get hit by a long run of 8, or 10 or 12 etc .. or you hit the table limit.

So in the end the casino can be viewed as an elaborate scam, giving the impression that you can win, when actually you cant. The dealers go through the motions, performing the ritual of the game, for the casino bosses, but their real function is to relieve you of your money. That end result is known, even before you begin. The odds see to that. There is no need for the casinos to cheat, to manipulate the wheel or do anything other than what they have done to ensure their success. Set the odds.

Ive seen people write that you will be banned for using the Martingle system. The reverse is probably the case. The dealers are more likely to smile quietly to themselves, knowing it will not be long before they have all your money.

When you've tested as much as i have and seen how it actually works, and ive tested both online and in a real casino, i suggest a change to the commonly asked asked question
" is the there a way to win at roulette ? " .. to
" given the odds, what makes you think you can win ? "

By all means, try any roulette method that takes your fancy. and test it for free in the online casinos, and see for yourself. I usually test with randomly generated computer games and on line games with live dealers. When something looks really promising ill test in a live casino, always with the same result. Often id win for a short while, and sometimes leave with a nice profit, but sooner or later id lose everything id gained and then some. There is just no way and the casinos know it.

    addition to above

If there was a way to win consistently, it would be naive to think the casinos wouldn't know about it, and move to close the gap. It would also be naive to think that 1000,s of dedicated gamblers who play roulette every day, would not have thought of it, and be doing it right now.

Casinos have been around for over 200 years. They monitor everything and every table. They know exactly what they have to do to ensure their profits keep rolling in.
