Hmmm..I have recently become partial to the Neo Geo AVS/MVS system. Unfortunately I don't have the budget to buy the MVS cartridges so have opted for the Neo Geo CD-Rom unit for the time being (which means long loading times on most games). I am currently enjoying Samurai Spirits 2 and King of Fighters 1996 both of which are seriously hardcore 2d fighters!.
Oh yeah, the Samurai Spirits series are amazing. As for the cost of Neo gaming, yes a lot of the MVS games will set you back $1000+ I think the current rarest titles are Metal Slug, Kizuna Encounter and Super Sidekicks 4 (all of which you may need a second mortgage for!). I also have a Neo Geo cd rom unit and despite the loading times (which are much longer than current cd based consoles) the games still play fine and the range is staggering.
Nothing wrong with "Jet Set Willy" or "Manic Miner" (do love looking at the loading screen on my 128)
