I think that kind of question is probably best answered by the National Lottery themselves.

question what would happen if a poker player dies to his cash on the site

IE they are the only person to know password /login details or would a death certificate be needed to be sent to a site to get said cash back

Dying before getting paid is EV- in my experience and I would advise against it.

Matt takes the money and buys more of his Yacht in addition to the straws he got from the National Sweepstake.

Really got no idea. I guess technically it would go to the next of kin as assets is assets. But youd probably need to speak to the poker // casino company and prove it otherwise theyd just be releasing money to someone who claims to be family.

surely if someone killed the person in question they'd get it as a 'bounty!?'
