Default Scratch Card Odds Worked Out

Hi there recently I got my hands on 250 lottery cards which were left over from a shop closing down. They had no value as they had to be scanned through the till in some way to validate/activate them.

So for interest sake I scratched all 250 of them and took down the odds, wins etc.

The cards were £1 'Gold Medal' must be 2012 games based.

Odds on card said chance of winning card is 1 in 4.91 and yes in my study this was correct.

    Of the 120 cards Losing cards = 97 / winning cards =23

Wins totalled £60 therefore 50% money back
Give a man a pound and he can gamble for a minute! Give a man a bag of pounds and he will be skint in minute!

Thats probably why I never buy scratch cards. Although to be fare at least you stand a chance of winning, and 50% back is better than most lottery related schemes!

In fact I see a decreasing interest for most scratching games that a while back were very popular.

I remember a site called max lotto specialised in them, and now uselees parked

I've never bought one to be honest. But I know a few people who have won decent amounts over the years.

Curiously, I got an email today inviting me to join a new affiliate program that promotes scratch cards.

    I thought they were dead!

scratch cards on the internet? wow, technology IS amazing...too amazing...
scratch cards are risky, since the chances of you winning are painfully low. Popular before, not popular now.

My workmate took one for 2 grand a few months back,

Odds are meant to be like 1 in 5 (4.9 apparantly!) so i have counted before to give myself a better chance.

    Most i've ever took was 50 off a £1

Think he just did it per pack as every scratchcard pack comes in a £120 value if that makes sense.
