This is my first post on this UK site. I have played with many Englishmen and women in Las Vegas at the World Series and find them the very best mannered players there. The young players I met at the 2,5 blind no limit were also great players and did not get ruffled when drawn out on. I wrote an article on an American site called Catching Cheaters about ways to cheat. The first letters of feedback that I received were from the UK.
This may be self promotion but the article is on www.thePokerForum.com
My goal is to be a poker writer. You may google Johnny Hughes poker to see some of my writings. My Lone Star State slang may be a turn off for you from the UK with such beautiful language. Johnny Hughes

A very long article but highly entertaining. I find cheating is interesting in general, it’s like someone showing you how a magic trick is done. Being let in on any secret tends to give most people a feeling of superiority although in this example there is a practical purpose for the knowledge too.
I found the article very friendly, the history gave a kind of story telling feel compare to the cold statistical mood of many articles.
Most of all I was impressed by the shear range of cheating methods and how they apply to different games.
I can’t say I play in any games where the stakes are high enough to attract such skilled cheats but I think some of the simpler techniques might be worth looking out for.
Good luck with the writing mate.

Smart guy.
