I have written an article called POKER AND THE GAMBLER'S FALLACY which is currently on the front page of www.pokerpages.com
It is about the flow of the game in any poker game online or live or tourney and strategies to deal with the flow.
I would enjoy your comments and suggestions as to whether you agree?? or disagree?? Johnny Hughes
I also have an article on cheating on the current front page of www.thepokerforum.com Johnny Hughes
I read your article (now available here).
I’m familiar with the gamblers fallacy, I had a friend who used to donate large amounts to needy casinos using the Martin Gale roulette system.
I enjoyed the article. I though it was well written and found the player history interesting.
However I do think you could have focused more on what your message was. I didn’t really see any strategies or benefits clearly identified in the article.
The implied summary seemed to be:
- Watch out for players who’ve been getting cold cards because they’ll probably drop their starting requirements when their stack gets low.
- After advertising a run of good hands use that “fear of a lucky player” to carry on the run with a few bluffs.
Hi Johnny
I tried to email you from your site at http://www.johnnyhughes.com regarding featuring some of your articles on this site, but the email bounced back.
Could you tell me another email address I can get you on?
If you'd rather not publicise your email address on this forum, can you send an email to info@gambling.co.uk and I'll reply to you.
Thanks![]()
My e mail is jchughej@aol.com I keep it rather secret but I love the British. I am a real Anglophile. The young English players that I have met at the World Series, led by some gorgeous woman named Victoria, are the best mannered players of the whole lot. Johnny Hughes
My latest article is now on the front page of www.thePokerForum.com
