I'd love to know what makes fench players play so bad,any suggestions? is it too much garlic? was it the humiliation of surrendering in the 2nd world war? why they never surrender a hand now????

I spoke to one the other day who limped in, 2 of us betting he is calling. We both check river and he goes all in the river, we fold and he shows AK high (no pair) I tried to find out a bit more about him, he tells me I dont play the cards I play via my feelings at the time.

Makes sense, so he sensed weakness and shoves. Fair play.

Then this:

1/2 NL

Flop AQ6 (2 to the flush) - me with A6 he bet, I raise, he re-raise, me re-raise to $76 - call. Turn K - I push over $100 on turn, insta call. He flips 53 suited - flush draw, he misses. The players say "where were your feelings on that one?"
