Default Poker Rules: Checking the Nuts on the river...

Everyone be honest...who didn't realize that if your last to act on the river and check the nuts you receive a penalty as its illegal?

I was just watching the WSOP 2010 coverage (8mins in ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MH8u7FPWWo) and Darvin Moon got penalized for checking the nuts on the river because he wanted to see what the other guy had.

I had no clue of this as it has never been an issue due to the fact no one would check the nuts on the river (if they were last to act), let alone in the $10k WSOP ME lol.

I've asked 4 people so far and none of them knew about it, also found a 2+2 thread and a load of people didn't know. Strange I've never heard of this.

Yeah I remember when this happened in Leeds and a few peopel were really moaning about it. I didnt really see the issue in that you can play your cards how you wanna play - but it IS fkn stupid.

i got told a story of 2 guys in a deal together at th start of a tourny to double each other up.
they both went all in with 1 of them chipping up. now though i can see an advantage of doubling up your stack in a large field its no guaranteed winnings + the round both players go all in on there is no guarantee another player wont wake up with a monster and knock both players out. so if 2 players want to pay double money for a freeze out tourn then i say good luck to them.
its your cards = its your decision. no penalty!!!

    I also thought this.

imo, anyone who checks the nuts should be penalised. It's obvious collusion or extreme stupidity. Both of which should be punished hard.
Mango: Anyone watching Graeme Norton? They've got that actress who was in that accident recently! Reece...

    Mango: No, with a car.
