Yesterday was pretty much a failure. I played 60 MTTs across pcuk and Stars and lost around €80 on pcuk and $45 on Stars. So that's about a hundred quid in total. I'm glad I'm playing micros and am decently rolled for it or it could have been really painful.
I had some beats at crucial times which had a knock on effect of tilting me on other tables. I said a few things in the chat box which is a little unlike me also - I think Paddy and Drago have been influencing me.
The top table is PCUK, bottom is Stars:

Bloody hell. I didn't realise you'd played that many! That's sick volume!

hahaha Tom I think you played more in one day then I did the whole of last year![]()
Playing high volume is the only way to break through the swingy aspect of MTTs. I can play 9 or 10 tables at a time on my laptop, so that helps.
It would be good if PCUK had synched breaks like Stars does - cos it makes going to the loo and getting food a little difficult.
Yesterday was probably the most I've ever played in one session - in part cos I had 12+ hours spare but also because I was donking out far too quickly. In a typical evening I'll play around 15-20. Though I haven't really played online since the start of the year.
aren't you giving away too much equity playing so many tables though? I have found any more than 4 MTTs at the same time cause my performance to noticably drop, especially when the blinds increase.
I can understand grinding 10 tables in cash, as - apart from when you pick up monsters on multiple tables - you are mostly folding and waiting. But the nature of MTTs is signficiantly more strategic, I would think.
Of course, I could be wrong and you could be a robot. Perhaps your real name is TF-Bot Model X1V2...I've heard the X1V3 upgrade provides support for up to 24 tables (and anti-tilt functionality) simultaneously![]()

I have also found this, playing SnGs I'm happy playing endless tables however I've tried this for MTTs maybe playing 12 at a time but it just doesnt work (for me). You might have a deepstack, a turbo and a shorthanded tourney all o the go at the same time which obviously require drastically different approaches of play. You may be deep in one tourney and just starting another, again the way in which you play these tourneys would be different. If I'm 12 tabling I can't help but play robot poker, so now If I'm playing MTTs in an evening I'll never fire more than 6 up at a time. I have a nice big monitor so I can see 6 full size tables at once and can take everything in on each table but anymore than this is defo -EV for me.
As Swine says TF is a machine and he was playing micros which may require less due care and attention than say a bunch of $100 MTTs.
