    Default Ho Ho Holdem!

Some of the most popular Christmas gifts this year look to be poker-related.

I know a few people who wanted poker stuff this year, (picture eyes glazing over whilst looking through the Argos catalogue)...mind you, the Texas Holdem kits I've seen look pretty tacky. The chips are actually low quality thin lightweight plastic, and the cards don't have much spring in them (kind of like wet cardboard if you know what I mean!) They probably are good for a laugh though and they're quite cheap - not a bad idea for a family after-dinner game or two. This is the first year we've seen such a huge marketing push for poker merchandise. I guess it's the government's way of priming us for the SuperCasinos. Maybe next year they'll have clay chips and bicycle cards, the "executive poker set"

By the way, I see you've installed an arcade here and introduced a new slots forum. I've only been away for a short(ish) time and suddenly the forum's really beginning to pick up Looking good! Merry Christmas all!

if anyone wants chips and cards of the same quality as in casinos just let me know and i'll dig pout a link to a company my mate bought loads off

NB No, you wont be able to purchase ones that are the same as those used in your local Grosvenor's! (thinks back fondly to the days of tokenbs in fruit machines and the ability to purchase £100 worth for £20)
