We need one more, and then need to get confirmation from all the forums once we've sorted out a date. I'm looking to create a 3 game series with $500 prizes for each freeroll, and $500 awarded to the forum with the most points after the 3 events.

As for the last team, how about a meetup.com team, consisting of members from both the London poker meetup sites? The members of the Bristol site who want to play can play as part of team gambling.co.uk.

Poker Forum Challenge

This sounds like a very interesting event, Forum vs Forum poker. The search is on for the best Poker Forum player and Poker Forum there is!

Take your best shot at the $5,000 personal prize pot and play for the title of Poker Forum Champion. The winning forum gets a chance to take a share of the $1,000 forum prize pool.

The challenge is absolutely FREE, theres no buy in! Poker Forum Challenge tournament is held on Friday, March 25, 2005 at 8pm EST. All you need is a Royal Vegas Poker account, which if you don't have you can get by signing up on the Poker Challenge website and download the software.

Enter your e-mail address at the poker forum challenge website, download the software and register your Vegas account ID by Tuesday, March 22, 2005.

The forum you register as your home forum gets 1 point per registered player plus more points for any of their members being placed in the top 50.

Thanks for the info mikkyT. It would have been a great idea, but unfortunately we recently acquired another poker forum and they had already been entered for this contest.

Therefore, I think we probably shouldn't enter too as that'll involve one of our forums competing against another one.

How about we organise a Forum vs Forum tournament challenge through poker.co.uk? Not sure of prizes, timescales, and whether it'll be a one off or a regular thing? Perhaps it could replace one of our forum exclusive freerolls, so that we go:

week 1: $150 forum exclusive freeroll
week 2: $150 value added forum-exclusive tourney
week 3: $150 forum exclusive freeroll
week 5: $500 Forum vs Forum challenge.

What do you think?

The original post was a year ago today. It was back at a time when our poker forum wasn't very busy - we possibly had 2 or 3 frequent posters. Our other forum - outdrawn.com - had a load more, so made more sense at the time putting them into the tourney.

outdrawn.com is now no more. Now we only run forums on this site, and www.gamesforum.com

i like the idea of a forum vs forum challenge and possibly a heads up forum challenge too, in a team format say 5 players from each forum

No, I'm not sure yet. I'll have to approach the other forums, or ask people who are members of other forums to ask them if they want to take part. When asking other forums, it's best to PM the admin guy there to avoid spamming. But, there's no point asking yet, I'll finalise the details in the next couple of days.
