Afternoon all, I hope this finds you well.
I'm producing a nightly live poker show on Sky Channel 226 – ‘Poker Night Live’. I'm currently looking to supplement my team of 2 commentators with a third poker pro.
Please email me with any queries, but here's a brief outline of the kind of person I'm looking for:
- A male or female who has been playing, successfully, at a high level for a good number of years
- A player with a good reputation in the game and experience in both online and live games – tournaments, cash games…
- A player who can clearly commentate on the game and communicate their thoughts on live and “as live” games to a microphone and camera
- You don’t have to have broadcast / performance experience per se, although this would be beneficial – the selected candidate will be guided in broadcast etiquette.
Please note this is a paid position for professional broadcast – part-time (provisionally 1 or 2 evening shifts per week). I am not looking for amateurs who fancy getting on air with little to say – you need to be the kind of player whose views your poker peers want to hear, and from whom new players can learn.
Sponsored? I am interested in hearing from players who have sponsorship deals with poker companies - although I would have to know all details of these up front in case they clash with agreements my company already has in place.
Please email your details to me if you match the above criteria and are genuinely interested in coming in for a test: Luke.Toyne@via-vision.tv. Our studio is in London.
Please note, this is not a Poker Channel production.
Yours sincerely,
Luke Toyne
Wow sounds interesting, you should be able to find someone on here and maybe you could give the site a shoutout on air![]()
Any time you aggressively play seven deuce off suit, the universe will bend the laws of short term probability in order to re-balance the long term probability abuses by those trashy players who only play premium hands
