I've been playing poker online only now for about a year.
I'd consider my game to be basic, but fairly tight. I play perhaps one in 10 hands. The trouble I come across is that I don't really play any higher than £2/£4 stakes limit games on 6 player tables. Even with the paitence of a saint I often find I get busted out on 4th or the river with an opponent raising when he hits something better. Fine, that's poker if you hit, you hit, but all too often looking at the show the other guy should never have been in the flop in the first place, but of course that's the problem with low limit, it's 'affordable' to hang on a few more draws, albeit bad play. My question is if I play at a higher stakes table then just how high do you have to go to get a more sensible game..I'm aware that I'll get the other end of the stick and probably lose to the subtleties of a better player but I'd rather wp someone in the chat box for completely hoodwinking me than curse my screen when somebody hits some outrageous draw when I've raised pre flop and down the line with pocket Aces or the like.
Confucius say "man who know wombat know more than stupid looking monkey"
Confucius also say "man who know Kebab has 60 inch waist"
Confucius finally add "man may deal, but man may not 'know' deal"
