Hi!
I was wondering: are there really professional poker players out there, by which I mean NON-sponsored professional gamblers, who confidently and consistently bring in the money, year after year, and make a good living out of it?
Like everyone else, I hear all the stories about pros who win, but more often than not these seem to be the championship players with lucrative sponsorship deals.
How easy is it to be a professional playing the live tables (or online), and be confident about making money on an ongoing basis? I've been what I suppose you'd call a 'semi-pro' gambler for years and despite many winning streaks (which sometimes went on for months), I always lost it all in the end.
I'd be interested in hearing anyone's take on this! Am I just unlucky?
I dont think there would be any professional player on net making a living out of this... Real life u can find many but on net its more then too risky...
Why is the net more risky compared to a bunch of people you don't know in real life? On the net you get a lot of people who don't know what they are doing and just blow their money away for the taking by the experienced people.Originally Posted by scorpio
