I know this brag will make you quake in your boots....

I won a 27 player live pub game tonight for £44 from a £3 buy-in (and a £20 note of the prize money is an old school out-of-circulation note). I used to crush the pub games but haven't won one for many many months. I'm as happy about winning this evening as I am about any other recent result.

It's like I'm now playing a bit more micro-stake cash during the week, and after toiling away for a few hours I'm over the moon if I come away with a $10 profit. In my regular tournaments, a $10 score would be rather meh (possibly because I may have spent much more than that in buy-ins beforehand!)

Sometimes its not about the numbers, but whether (a) you enjoyed it and (b) you felt you played well
