pac man/cash lab tactics

hi i have seen people doing the trick on cash lab and pac man fruit machines to get cash lab or pac man but am not completely sure on how it works.

i know it is something to do with keeping your move back three and keep going for 2 nudges and nudging in the symbols then getting skill stop and hitting the last symbol then using your move back three to garuantee the last symbol but could anyone please inform me if this is correct. thanks
