Can you be legally prosecuted if caught doing this or can an engineer check the logs to prove you were doing it?
Or legally are you merely exploiting a software error so the buck stops with the fruit machine company?
Reason being..did one today..played until full (refill key slot blocked) but hopper was either incorrectly filled/topped up or jammed cos I got the alarm at £40ish left to pay out even though my maths was correct and I was due to leave the machine with £27 in. For reasons I'm not quite sure about myself I left a correct name and address but as time goes by this is unsettling me...I'm hoping the worst they can do is not pay out. Stupid machine should have been floated properly in the first place cos it's bound to get a chip now and I can't really go back to it until the dust has way settled. Views?

I wouldn't worry, you are only playing the machine the correct way as to fuck up the program. And you ae right if it was correctly topped up there wouldn't have been such a problem anyway!!!!!

Remember doing a KK which had an £80 float, was well in the shit when I emptied it and still thought I had another 3/4 JP's to come

    Just a programming error.

Did another one at the weekend in 20 minutes or so.

    You're not doing anthing illegal.

Just like using a key, that's not illegal(though all arcade/pub/bingo etc etc staff think it is). Not that keys are much use thesedays, can be useful on the older machines where it still shows the hopper balance mind!.

If you have one in your area, try the LOTR, it throws in random super h's and a few haven't been chipped.

Christ o'mighty! I thought BFM programs were watertight. So they do slip up now and again. Anyway, I think the programmers are more at fault for letting potential mtrs pass by on machines. Look at Maygay with Super Pots and the method where you tried to get £6 a certain way because it was a 'free' win or the easy 4 nudges on Donkey Kong. Realllllly! Nice little earners, though.

I don't know why arcade owners should get annoyed at people exploiting emptying methods. They're not exactly angels themselves. I've seen people get wins witnessed on fruit machines and if there is a shortfall they STILL don't get the proper amount despite the manager of the premises watching, and in other cases people have had to go to the arcade the next day IN THE MORNING if they want the money they're due. Not exactly possible if you have to go to work!!!! All in all, perhaps emptiers are Joe Publics revenge on dodgy amusement arcades. Long may they reign.
