    Default Forcing Newbie First post!

    Hi there Guys,

First just wanna say what a great site this is, made up I came across it.

I have read through numerous posts about forcing and think I have got a good idea what its all about. Thought I better do that cos I know you all shout if we newbies don't read first!

Just 1 question to clear up any doubts I may have.

I understand that forcing is to keep putting money into the machine, not taking any wins so that the payout % go downs, forcing the machine to pay JP. What I don't understand is why someone would continue to put money into say a £25 JP machine, carrying on over this only to win £25.

I understand that forcing may trigger a streak or JP repeater but what if I have just put £40 in and end up getting just the £25 JP when it is finally forced to pay?

hi man, welcome to the site- its not too shabby at all

err, the payout percentage goes up afaik.

some machines overcompensate because [from a "rules" or legal standpoint] they need to dump some money ASAP.

forcing for 40 for jp is a risk that might be justified when playing a certain machine [for example I used to risk such a gamble on a machine that streaks [streaked!] for 100 only when FULL and had taken a bit [wildfire]..

nowadays for example, i'll maybe force a ij3 if nearly full, because chances are the streak is due. these never streak when far from full.. so forcing is a good idea, [knowing how happy the machine is from the first feature also helps] and often yields a 75 or cheeky 90 on earlier chips
    ]
it just depends on the machine whether a force can be justified from my experience. am sure many will agree

Ah yes, I did mean up! That would be shocking!
Thanks for the welcome. Cheers for the reply.

I guess if it pays jackpot before you put that amount in (£25) all is good. However, if you put more in you obviously need a streak, JPrpt or Excellent Top feature or its just unlucky.

I figure from most of the posts I 've read the way to decide to force or not dpends on how it plays with the first say £3. If it offers £8 then force, if it offers £1 then don't?

If you stick to this option then you'll be ok, i always put £10 straight through and see what's offered. If it's looking poor then i take what's on offer and "run". Don't forget that some machines you'll play will be full from the start due to a re-fill, so even if you push out a jp, it won't streak as it's not ready.

Welcome to the forum by the way Anthony

Yeah thats right, Thats how I play just putting enough in for 2 boards and seeing whats on offer.

Although from what you just said you do have a problem - You said that If you put money in and it offers £8 you will force, that is a good idea although you might find that it has just come after a Mega Streak or a full £75 streak as the afters. Therefore it could take £70+ to get the JP forced out even though it was offering £8+ from the start.

Hope thats covered what I mean
Its only on loannnnnnn, its only on loaaannnnnn in Athens Grace will bring it back hommmmmmmmeeeee.

I usually dump £15 straight in, if backing and offering then force, if not then just play 'casually' to get that £15 back, grab as much as you can then run?

But please note, forcing doesn't work on all machines! Anti-Force can dump a quick JP on you at any time, and maybe the start of a streak, but can cost you alot if you dont know what your doing on that machine. Some features are better than others

    Tough shit!

Deal with it and move on with £15 less in your pocket.

be careful on some machines. some don't play with a progressive programe so you will find it my offer you £8 and then only £3 wins for the next £30 also as anfield said you my be playing the machine after a streakwith your fucked and losing £80 instead of the £10 you have put in for the board.

Well said James, you have to live with it and move on as you say, you can never win all the time down to the laws of probability, and you have to lose to win! If you didnt lose on one machine you may not have made on the next.

Straight to the point, maybe this should be a sticky, would give 'newcomers' something to read and think about?
