S16's… again.
I've been giving these more and more thought of late, for the following reasons;
If you get lucky - and I have been so far - 'up' on the who thing, is there any way of playing them as part of your usual gamble-fest, without exposing yourself to too much financial risk?
On the basis that the informed are more likely to win at AWP than the average monkey, I've started playing S16's on a 'Play with Profit' basis.
The reality of my playing is as follows;
I never play (any machines) with more than I can afford to lose
profit is a bonus
I'll happily gamble £3.00 on a 6, but I'll kick myself if I nause up £6.00 or more owing to my own stupidity.
It's on that basis, that I've established that I don't mind losing my float, and that I'm looking to make a more significant return on my play, so I've started playing S16's on a 'with profit' basis.
This week, I've played s16 with 'approximately' 75% of any AWP profit I've made, so, if I took the £25.00 jp from a £5.00 investment, I've take the £5.00 out that I've already played with, and use £15.00 of the remaining £20.00 as S16 stake money, the remaining £5.00 goes in the AWP profit-pocket!
It's the only way I can (now) justify using these machines - to put your own 'hard earned' in them appears to be more than a little foolish and fully appreciate that my play so far has been completely luck based, so by accepting that I'll never make any real money from AWP's, I've opted to my reinvestment strategy.
So far, results have been limited, as I've only managed to get out to play twice. First time, I came home with next to nothing (hardly any AWP cash made it nigh-on improssible to be justify any s16 action), the second time, I made about a tenner on the s16, from £8.00 in - hardly a return, but you get the jist.
I like the large prizes on a s16 - who doesn't? - but I can see how playing these things too frequently is more than a little dangerous and you can easily see how people lost thousands on them in a short space of time.
Yes - it is a mugs game - but I think my method allows me to 'have a punt' with cash I've won and gives me the opportunity to try for larger prizes.
Will-power, that's all you need and if you are only playing with profit, you should always have enough left for a further punt on a AWP if you feel the need!
Anyone else consider this a reasonable way to play?
