Laying can be dangerous. I remember when a few years ago when I was young and stupid I placed a lay bet of £100 on a crappy international team versus england.
I stood to lose £1,000 if this team won. I can't remember who it was but it was someone pretty crappy like Angola or someone you'd expect us to beat.
I was watching the game in the pub and it was a close game and was 0-0 for longer than I cared for. We went 1-0 up and I was alot more relaxed but by no means were we dominating play.
There came a point within the last ten minutes where the other team hit the post and my god that was a horrible feeling.
We went on to win an unconvincing 1-0 and I made £100 minus £5 commission.

I breathed a huge sigh of relief and I haven't done it again since.
My I was wreckless back then. Theres nothing like meeting a good woman to sort that out though thank god.
