Well said Stroma concerning lower stakes, but if you check back on the tip exchange blog, I di state that unless you have a betting bank of £1,000 you should not be betting to £10 per point, also buddy if you notice 2 of yesterdays horses were over the recommended staking odds, one was a winner, the other a loser, I will repeat the max odds again, NEVER LAY OVER 7.0, I hope this clears things a bit, also Stroma as I am sure you will agree tip exchange does not posses the know how to filter these bets and in fact a tipster I follow Silverfox had Paco Boy marked down by the site as a loser, I am going to set up a blog for July and hopefully have my website up and running soon.
I have given out my tips on tip exchange so if you go over to the site you will find the lay bets, however after 30th June I will be pulling out of tip exchange and intend to proof my selections to tipping league until I get my web site up and running and I will then proof my selections to Racing Index.
Hope this Clears things up guys.

Yo, speaking as a mod :
I actually read most of this thread for the first time having just skim-read it before. Since rfph stepped in its actually turned into a thread of DISCUSSION as opposed to ARGUMENT. Personally I found it pretty interesting to read about how it works and felt this is actually all pretty solid and should continue. ProLays and Stroma you arent arguing with each other - youre perfectly entitled to comment on the service he's providing and I dont really see anything wrong with either.
As a gamber -
I think the risk in this is ridiculous. To be up £800 for a month and then lose £440 seems HUGE in terms of swings. Not something Id personally wanna get involved in but I guess thats why its risky like you say and youd need to have £1k disposable income to throw around to make it work.
Ill continue to read this thread and I think the thread is BETTER with both of you posting in it.

Addition by rfph1 @19:28 on 17th June : I aggree with Tyler. I have found the thread, and the discussion within, very interesting (I even went to a racing web site to check the odds / results at one point !. Keep posting but keep the arguments factual and impersonal. GL.

Exactly. Keep it all coming.

I dont want to take anything away from the good job you are doing. I think this tread is interesting. But out of bordum i thought i would pick out horses from the same races that you have. just to see for myself how hard a job you do. i dont bet on horses much even though i was at doncaster last week, (got lky with 3 winners. marvo 11/2 racing hero 6/1 and markington 8/1) i think betting on horses is like live/online poker. when you are there you can see what condition the horse is in. are they sweeting up. market movers ect.
example doncaster 2;55 (14 june) lady springbank was 12/1 in the morning, won at 5/2
and last race; markington opened 3/1 fav went out to 10/1 (still won, returned 8/1) but looked really well in the ring...
so my selections are;
320; ripon, turnkey
345; ascot, yeats
4.0; ripon, city of the kings
4.45; warwick, diago rivera
5.10; ripon, lucky punt
7.10; leicster, desert strike
7.30; muss, ainia
9.0; muss, compton ford
Your missing the point friend, unless of course your displaying a sense of humour, of which i dont appreciate.
Great Cayton I always welcome healthy competition, when it comes to laying horses though it is always best to set a max upper limit that way if the horse wins you are limiting your loses.
Good luck with your selections today, who knows we may be able to have a competition if more people join the thread, and the more people involved we can team up and take the other punters on the exchanges to the cleaners who are backing the selections we lay.
