Have Sheffield Utd not got big injury problems? Sky sports news says theyve got 10 players unavailable out of the squad of 22! Are they not key players/first teamers?
Not too sure about Sheff Weds to beat Coventry either. I will probably use Newcastle and Blackpool in any bets I make this weekend though, good shout.
I normally just do trebles/quaduprules but try and pick games similar to you have that could go either way.
E.g. Betting on Celtic is pointless as they're always big favourite except V Rangers.
Swindon should beat Hartlepool @ 5/6 I reckon, though out of our last 7 matches 6 of them have ended 1-1! So maybe a bet on 1-1 might be better lol (6/1)
Sheff Wed v Cov
I am a Sheffield Wednesday fan myself and never really go for my own team, but I really fancy us against anyone at home and let's face it Coventry aren't the best team in the league. We are a very strong home team with the meanest defence at homr (last season) we also have players back, and was spanked by Derby the previous game, in which they should be a backlash.
S****horpe v Sheff Utd
A lot of teams will go to S****horpe and realise that they are not easy opponents, such as Derby and Preston etc. But Sheffield United are a different team to those, Sheffield United are a long ball team, and are a lot better away from home. They do have a lot of players missing, but I think they should ease to victory.
B'pool v Plymouth
Blackpool should ease to a win v Plymouth, due to Plymouth at the moment on paper having a League One squad. I use another forum dedicated to football and even the Plymouth fans predict them to lose heavily. Plymouth are good at home, but will struggle to pick up points away from home, think this is a banker and a decent ish price.
Stoke v West Ham
I said earlier that any team in this league will struggle against Stoke at Stoke, and this will be the same, if West Ham win, then it will be one of their best results of the season. Stoke on paper most games should get spanked home and away, but at home I can't see them getting beat by more than 1 or 3 teams outside the top 4 if any.
Notts Forest v Newcastle
This is a hard one to predict, but I think it's a good price. I can't see the Notts Forest strikers scoring, but will Newcastle? I suspect that Newcastle may go unbeaten at home this season, but away they may drop points playing at grounds which they are not used to, but on paper I believe that they will be to strong for Notts Forest eventually.
F*ck it I'll do it again now:
Selections are in bold.
Wycombe v Colchester 11/10
Wycombe would be bottom if it wasn't for Southamptons point deduction. Also I saw them play Swindon and their defence was gash. Colchester are up in 3rd and have had some good results e.g beating Charlton.
Blackpool v Plymouth 4/5
Nottm Forest v Newcastle 11/8
Swindon v Hartlepool 5/6
The only reason we're drawing is because we keep conceding late goals, hopefully we won't this time! Also we're unbeaten at home and Hartlepool aren't on very good form.
Southend v Bristol Rovers 13/8
This is probably the biggest gamble and I've considered taking it out but Rovers are up there and getting results until they got dicked 5-1 by Norwich. Southend have got a couple of injuries too (not sure how vital these players are though)
Portsmouth v Tottenham 4/5
Portsmouth have been shite so pretty self explanatory why I've gone for Spurs here.
This could be good for highlighting how I/we(?) fail at football betting!
All those odds are with Boylesports as I've got that free tenner to use. Haven't decided whether to do six 5-folds and an accumalator, or two £5 trebles yet though. Might even do some silly £0.05 Lucky63 type stuff!!
Not quite as long this time, but better than nowt![]()
I don't normally put it all on the same games but it's a free tenner so with those games I did:
£2 accumalator which returns £153.54
£0.50 5-folds (cost £3) which returns £111.11 if they all come in.
and a £5 accy on Colchester, Newcastle, B'pool and Spurs which returns £80.80.
Would be nice...
ZOMG!!!
I've had a few bets on Skybet over the last few months (nothing big though only about £20-30 in total) and a week or so ago they emailed me saying if I entered a code I was guaranteed a free bet from £1 up to some silly amount, anyway I forgot about it until just now when they sent out their weekly advertising spam...it said:
You've got 150.00 GBP and you can get even more for your money tomorrow!
Nice profit for this week!!
@Cayton - I can't see Pompey beating Spurs really, maybe a draw. Southend could easily win though, and Swindon seem to draw every game so that could well go the same way, but keep the faith, Home Win!!
My Saturday selection:
Sunderland vs Liverpool = DRAW 11/5 Cant see Liverpool winning this with there dodgy start and Sunderland despite a dodgy defense should keep this with a score draw imo
Notts Forrest vs Newcastle = AWAY WIN 6/4 Notts Forrest are one of the most inconsistant teams ever and Newcastle are far the class act. 3-1 Newcastle
Walsall vs Exeter = HOME WIN 11/10 Last two times these teams met Walsall won them both. Walsall are so so at home but Exeter are vile away so i am touching my luckbox and praying for a home win instead of a draw.
Hereford vs Chesterfield = AWAY WIN 6/4 Chesterfield have won the last 3 games on the trot and despite Hereford beating Chesterfield 2-0 last time they met i can see the form with Chesterfield shining through and going FTW!
BANKER BETS FOR MY ACCUMULATOR
Arsenal vs Birmingham = HOME WIN 1/7
Man U vs Bolton = HOME WIN 2/9
So with all these selections with a £5 bet gives me returns of £293.33.
WABBBBBBBLUUUUUUUUU WABBBBBBBBLUUUUUUUU
I had to swap, Sheffield united for tottenham not realising that Sheffield utd kicked of early, might have paid off, but not sure how Newcastle are going on at the mo.
