just went to have a footy bet and noticed the shortest priced italian for golden boot is gilardino at 50/1 quarter odds top 4 also 200/1 him to top score italy to lift cup. done a little research and he has been a regular starter off late and they have quite a soft group imo. he averaged a goal a every 2 games in seira a last season and four in last two qualifying games for italy. then again the last time i had a football bet up england where world champions

I might have a bet on Holland @ 10/1, hard to look past Spain though really

Didn't do this in the end, though I did put £10 on Germany to win the cup outright at 10/1. Did that at half time during the Australia game as up to that point they were the best side I'd seen... looking good still, can't see Paraguay beating Spain (though you never know). So Spain v Germany could be a tasty encounter. I can see Ze Germans winning if they can defend and counter attack like they have been.

Spain are a good attacking side but seem to lack the final shot after passing it round so effortlessly, defence-wise Ramos seems to attack more than defend which will leave gaps, Puyol is not the quickest these days, Pique had a bit of a shocker last game so maybe isn't on the best of form and there's question marks over how good Capdevila is at left back...so I predict a Germany win! (3 nil to Spain then)

I agree with you too. The same as every other world cup. If we can get a bit of luck and win on penalties we could get to the final, anything less than quarter finals is disappointing

Im a little more optimistic, i think we will beat germany prob 4.1 get into the semis. beat spain, cos they are never going to win this even though they are favs. Also dan C has them in the sweep and he never wins anything.
