Well seen as we all know who and who hasn't qualified for the World Cup in 2010. Some bookmakers are saying that we are 5-8/1. and are 2nd and 3rd favourites to win the event. I personally think that there is a lot better teams in the World Cup and that we will either get knocked out in the QF's/SF's.

I don't think the team is good enough and lack creativity compared to the other teams in the World Cup, Hopefully we will be seeded and avoid the best other teams in the tournament along the way.

I am considering going, but I am not willing to pay over the odds.

I pretty much agree with you. Same as every other world cup. If we can get a bit of luck and win on penalties we could get to the final, anything less than quarter finals is disappointing

So how do you explain why we've qualified and why you weren't even close to qualifying? Do Slovenia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic all play for their shirts with more passion and pride? All of those countries are historically newer than Northern Ireland too, and yet have somehow managed to become more proud in a shorter length of time...

There is nothing in it for the players? They are still getting paid for playing for England, even though they shouldn't. We have qualified with ease, but we're poor whenwe play better teams. I think reaching the QF's is the minimum requirement, really depends on who we get in the last 16.
