Hello all
I have just created a site for gamblers on football (www.ufguk.co.uk) and hoped you lot could give me some feedback.
If you like it, great.
If you think its garbage, oops, please tell me why.
What stats do you want to see ?
Be lucky
Statto
(I hope I havent contravened any rules by posting this, but it didnt say anything to the contrary when I registered and the title of these forums does indicate the sharing of gambling banter - apologies gambling.co.uk if this is the case)
If you link back to gambling.co.uk then I'll let you keep your link here. Let me know once done. Thanks!
Thanks for posting the link back to here.
In regards to the site.. I am assuming you want me to be honest and blunt.
It looks cheap and tacky.
Black text on brown back ground? Dodgey frames ewww..
To be honest it just likes a very amature job.. WordXP or Frontpage jobby no doubt..
Why not get a real editor like Dreamweaver and a decent template (plenty for free on web)..
Also is it pulling them stats from a database? If so I am sure you can make the site much more powerful with Dreamweaver MX or something similar.

Useful site mate. What the purpose of it though? long term and short-term??
I've conducted a 10,000 word report on football betting and odds compiling. And I also worked for a leading betting exchange. I'll just give you a few pointers that football gamblers look for:
1. Match odds - Punter want to know what team is over-priced etc. Match odds are determined 50% on form and 50% on who the team is playing against. Possibly have a section showing last 5 games of each team, and a cross-table of how good each team is against other similar teams in the league. If you knew that WBA always beat teams near the bottom, then you'd want to bet on them.
2 - Individual markets - ie first scorer. I see your individual team sections has minutes played per player. This isn't that useful when backing first scorer / too score markets. You need to know how often / when a player gets subbed. IE, would you be happy to bet on Joe Cole if you knew he gets subbed after 60 minutes on average?!.
3 - Handicap markets - some teams collapse after going behind. Possibly have a section showing how many teams win and lose by.
Gd luck anyway
