Being relatively young and unable to see Channel 4 racing, i have no idea who this dude is...

But noticed in the local paper, theres a new william hill bookies opening in whitby, free bets, free buffet, prize draw etc, and this guy is hanging around for the day, championed as a "racing celebrity"...

Now obviously it's worth a look with all the free stuff, but who exactly is he, and is he famous enough to have cameras or anything there accompanying him?

he's a racing commentator for channel 4, not exceptionally famous unless you watch horse racing often or like wasting a fortune on 1.50 a minute phonecalls to a tips line that spends 8 minutes rambling on about the weather at newmarket before he gives you a tip that invariably loses!!
