Not sure how this helps - would anyone ever fold quad J's or above ? Not as if you would have 2 guys in same room, when both hit quads, and one says to the other - "I got quad J's, let me know if you got me beat so that I dont fold".

...or am I missing the point ?

Lol there is that. But if you had say, 10 mates in a coffee shop all on your laptops, you all completely fill up a Cash Table on one of the Bad Beat Jackpot ones, and you sit there just folding the blinds round to each other hand after hand till you have two players with say AK suited and one with JJ or whatever. Tryin to make straight flush vs Quads or Quads v QUads.

i've seen this on an american site,the jackpot amount is ridiculously high(55-60million or so)and very rare to see it won,but it continues to grow.i've seen a clip on youtube i think it was,from about two years ago when the jackpot was actually won,but not won since.
pocket aces ended up losing to a royal straight,very bad beat!
cant be bothered to work out the odds cos they are so unlikley its nearly never gonna happen.
i'm sure you could come up with a better idea to share the wealth of a raked table than this none beneficial and near impossible way.

Matt you know the Sng jackpot, if someone was to finish 1st 6 times in a row would the 10k get put stright into their account as soon as they get the sixth straight win? That os good value, but the tables never seem to get filled!!

A royal straight is TJQKA, with the cards not making a royal flush.

A 'bad beat' jackpot is always a bit of a misnomer anyway. As e.g. you have JJ, your opponent has AA.

Board: AA3JJ.

You've not once been ahead, but still qualify for the 'bad beat' jackpot.

So lets say for the sake of argument that it runs for 2 years and nobody wins it, and Boss decide to pull it because not enough people are playing the tables or whatever, where does the raked jackpot go? Hmm? Eh? Where Dale, where?
