Ey up
I've just had an email from Presentable TV, the team responsible for 'Late Night Poker' on Channel 4 which I think you all might be interested in.
Apparently at the end of August they're going to cover the PartyPoker.com Late Night Poker Ace tournament, which will be a search for Britain's top amateur poker player - no pros allowed. It's a FREEROLL tourney - the 42 players who progress through the qualifiers will be invited to Cardiff to take part in the finals, scheduled for some time in July. The finals themselves will be filmed for TV and broadcast in August/September of this year on Channel 4. The total prize pool will be £100,000 (50% to 1st place), and qualification will be via the PartyPoker.com website from now until 22nd June. Go here for more info.
I'd say it's definitely worth a punt for the chance to win a cool £50K, especially as it costs diddly-squat to enter.
GL to all who decide to go for it.
