Am thinking of running a home poker tourny in the beginning of febuary.
which system would u reckon be more greatly recieved???

bear in mind i only have a 500chips poker set to my disposal (100 white,blue,red,green,balck) although could possibly obtain another set of the same from a friend.

now thinking of £15 entry fee and a maximum of 32 players. here are my ideas:

1) 4 tables of 8 top 2 from each go through to final 8,chip count taken over to final= where money is paid to top 3/4/5. Played over a wk end maybe??

2) 4 tables of 8 all simultaniuosly and u play until there are 8 left and carry on. (chip situation could be a problem!)

3) run flyers so that u can rebuy as much as u want. eg 7 qualifiers at £15 entry one a night, or 2 a night possibly until u have 7 finalists-then a last one for the 8th spot from all the runners up?? (like u see on the tele)

any more suggestions???

im a bit bemused we ran one in dec and it went tits up when people dropped out on the day!!! and then we decided everyone was allowed to rebuy once into the empty spaces but then when 4 rebuyists made it to the final, people drwn on the second half of the draw had a whinge as they never had a chance to rebuy...so we ran a qualifier for them, but hen had to offer the 4 original finalists that made it first time a rebuy at final table!!!! Shambles!!!!!

Anyways it will be in Bristol if anyone may be interested?? may do it through the bristol and south west poker group.
