Wont be able to make that one, allready got plans for that weekend. Will get back down there soon though.
you guys missed out on a great day....27 runners all told and many twists and turns, 2 hands stand out for me.....me folding pocket kings to our friend oinkment (richie kgb) with a Q-7-6 flop, he limped in, called my raise and post-flop went all in for over 10,000 chips while i was holding around 8000, i just couldnt put him on anything, i know he likes a connector and didnt think it was worth risking so early........he had a-q!!
2nd hand was winning over 10,000 with 2-5 off, i made a big bet after the river and got a fold while i had no match, table image was pretty tight and after showing the bluff i got enough action to put me chip leader by the second break with around 25000 (avg was 8000)
after the break the tables evened out to 2x8 players, one guy on my table had around 12000, the rest were short and jamming constantly and i wasnt getting anything even half viable to call with, took a cpl of small pots and a few blinds and then it was the final table of 8, the guy with 12000 now had around 50000!!
suddenly i was in the position of being about 5th or 6th in the stacks and had to jam myself, got a cpl of blinds, lost a cpl of players and sat facing J-J, figured it my best chance i went all in from first position and got called by the big blind.......anyone who has played live with me will know what happened next........he turns over q-q a la bumpkin, gutshot and the vic, for the fourth time running i got busted with jacks vs queens with neither hand drawing!!
there was an incredible amount of a-a k-k q-q and i saw a-a get busted 3 times and there were 2 other times (one was the talk of the day.....10-2 off beat it) i had k-k 2 hands in a row, won a good pot the first time and you
know the second!
all in all a great day and cant wait for the next one which i believe is in 1 months time!
