    Default Anyone fancy these?

The one in manchester sounds quite good, as does the oxford one although i think the oxford cup clashes with a certian golf/poker day.

    LMAO!

Below is a copy of the email correspondance with the guy who runs UPL, i think the best thing to do is to open a UPL account then deposit the required funds to buy-in to the events and reg online - if they question you Ben, i'll say you write for the mag as a freelancer.

    Hi Joe,

Both events sound intriguing. I has a look on UPL but couldn't find any details. Is it possible to send me some such as how to register/venues etc (nearer the time is fine). Also how loose is the student/celebrity Manchester open as i don't qualify myself as either but really want to play in that one!

    regards,

    Nick

    and his reply,

    Hey Nick,

Things are finally coming together for the two live events later this month...

In answer to your question... pretty loose...

Hope to see you there if you can make them...

    Joe

Ok lets all go to manchester - count me in - let me know what the rate at the marriott is lee as not sure if the discon rate will be cheaper than a regular hotel.

Will consider oxford, depending on the manchester results! :-o

But as there may also be a poker game going on in bristol on the 30th will prob just stay around for that.

you've prob already seen my post on the other forum - there are online sats running on UPL, i'll pay the £50 but wouldn't mind getting in cheaper, however not sure we'd get enough people to make sats worthwhile.
