    Default PUB Team Challenge 2009

Based on the same format as the 'Regions Cup' were going to have a Pub team challenge for 2009.

Looking to hold the event in March... Pubs who are interested in taking part will be asked to submit a team of 8 players.

South West league will be able to have 5 teams and Manchester 2 teams + a team made up of Poker.co.uk players...in total 8 teams

There are no restrictions to the amount of pubs that want to enter, either in Manchester or the South West.

    Qualiflying Round

Once the teams have been submitted, to get down to the final 8 teams, they will have to play a qualifying round(some teams may recieve a bye into the final depending on numbers)

The Qualifying round consists of 8 players going heads up with the other team, the team with the most wins will move forward to the final.

Cut off for the Teams entry will be February 14th 2009, all teams that want to take part will need to have submitted a team by that date.

A draw will be done on Finals day the following sunday for the qualifying rounds!

more info about Finals and qualification will be posted at a later date.....

** Pubs that have a regular 20+ players will be able to submit two teams if they wish to do so!

I am leaning towards putting it on at the Broadway Casino....as its would be fair on all parties regarding travelling.

Also it would give us the chance to have equal teams from Manchester ie 5 and 5

I will speak with Dave this week ..i am sure the Manchester league could get 5 pub teams together!..if not we would be able to fill the missing spots

Broadway will charge their normal fee ...

Trophy and medals for the top 2 teams plus if each team puts in a £100 (£10 per player) then the prize money will be given to the top two teams
