    Default Gladiator Finals Day *Report

The Gladiator Inn Gloucester hosted our first local finals day for 2009, and even though it was held on a saturday we still had a very good turn out.

First out honor went to Sharon Morris from Cheltenham who was short stacked and shoved with K 10, Scott McCarthy from Bristol won with Ace high!

    Hand of the day
    Blinds 100-200

    Rob Morris raised to 600
Ross Ciddelapaz called and the BB also called

    Flop 5h 3 2h

Rob bet 1200 and both players called

    Turn 5

Rob bet 1200 both players called

    River Qh

Rob pushed all in and both players called!!

Rob shows pkt 2's for a full house; Ross shows pkt 5's for quads; and BB (sorry forgot name) shows 7h 8h for a flush

    Amazingly no player went out!!

Debbie Cook from Gloucester was the bubble for the final table, and even though she cracked ace's twice it wasn't going to be enough to see her onto the final table!

    FINAL TABLE

    Seat_1 Darren Bartlett Bristol 24,500
    Seat_2 Dan Vick Bristol 11,000
    Seat_3 Tony Mayne Bristol 89,000
    Seat_4 Mike Chapman Yate 36,000
    Seat_5 Tim Deady Cheltenham 17,500

    Seat_8 Tom Pullen Dursley 85,500
    Seat_9 Kris Evans Gloucester 73,500

The Bush Tavern in Bristol had a very strong showing with 4 players on the final table including South-South West league winner Scott McCarthy!

Players all agreed to give the bubble in 9th £25 from the winners cash....

    9th Place-Scott McCarthy £25

    8th Place-Mike Chapman £25

I fell when my early shove with A 10 ran into Kris Evans Pkt 8's and with no help on the board i swiftly moved to the dealers position!

    7th Place - Dan Vick £25

Dan came to the table the short Stack but survived a couple of allin's before finally going out to Kris Evans

Kris raised in early position to 20k, Dan shoved for 75k making it 55k to call....Kris went to the tank before calling

    Kris Evans J Q vs A K

Jack on the flop saw Dan out in 7th place!

    6th Place - Tim Deady £25

Landord of the Irish Oak and Shamrock in Cheltenham managed his short stack into 6th place but lost his race with Q 10 vs A J Dish Patel

    5th Place - Dish Patel £50

Dish who was chip leader on the final table was a surprise 5th place finisher, when his all in was called by both Tom Pullen and Kris Evans, both players checked down ....and dish was out in 5th place when Tom's K J hit two pair.
