    Default Arise from the Ashes

Out of the ashes of the LPL will rise a new League. Cheltenham and Gloucester are setting up a local area league with a similar format as the LPL but with better advantages for the participating Pubs. If other areas end up doing a similar thing then let us know and we can organise inter league tornaments. We will be holding monthly finals for the same prizes as before and looking to expand the number of pubs involved.

    Angry Live Poker League

    Hi everyone,
I hope there are folks that still look at this.
I have now had time to fully assess Redtooth from a player’s point of view.
I play in Gloucester and we had Redtooth dropped on us with no warning.
Most of us were upset and felt cheated, having run around collecting points we find the league disappears.
We lost the interaction between the pubs, which was great fun.
I played in the Redtooth league at my at my local pub like most of you. I played for three months 3 nights a week and our results were being posted on the Redtooth site right up until the season finished. Seeing those results meant that I believed that I would be going to a Redtooth semi final, but no.
Our results were removed from the web site when the season ended and due to some dispute between the landlord and Redtooth none of our players can go. They were happy to string us along for three months and then let us down without even notifying us.

I had another bad experience with red tooth which I feel you should be aware of.
I entered the on line Sunday afternoon league run for Redtooth by bet Fred. Now I may not have all the facts exactly right due to poor memory but this won’t be far from correct.
The first week I missed it as I didn’t know about it.
Week two I entre and bubble making the final table but out before making the last eight
    Next week same thing.
    Week four I am unplaced.
Week five win the tournament outright, 100 points, lovely. I should now have 130 points putting me right up amongst the leaders.
The points are meant to be posted on a Monday, Tuesday morning nothings been put up, wait be patient perhaps it’s just late.
I go on Redtooth site and using the link provided I send them an email, and get no response.
On Thursday I e mail Bet Fred and copy the e mail to Redtooth.
Bet Fred respond but not the unreliable Redtooth. Bet Fred say they will look into it.
Friday I still have only 30 points.
I ring Redtooth, nice young sounding lady comes on the phone, I explain problem. The response is its Friday afternoon can I call you back on Monday.
I say no, the tournament is running again on Sunday but if they don’t give me the points they owe me how can I play in it, the tournament will have lost credibility in my eyes. She says I will call you back, nothing happens of course.
So I don’t play and the following week at some point they credit me the points. Joke, well done Redtooth.
So I have a message for all my old colleagues who I used to play with at LPL.

Stay away from Redtooth its nothing but a shambles

Like many people I was pissed off when the LPL disappeared but I have to say that my experience of Redtooth has been positive throughout. The equipment is good, they charge venues less than the LPL did and quarterly finals places are decided on merit rather than playing 8 nights a week.

The only downside is that the LPL monthly finals were a good craic, as was the poker.co.uk sponsored freeroll and as was the LPL section of the forums.

But as far as just turning up on the night and having a decent game of poker goes, Redtooth do the job well.

    Are you working for them?

My experiance has been really bad, and its all true.

They are so far up them selves they never even apologised for the weekend thing when they were clearly in the wronge.

I like my poker, I play a lot, but if they treat players like that, you will never see the best players at redtooth.

I think the Sunday league is just a big fix.

Lol, no, i dont work for them. I just play poker at a couple of their Bristol venues.

Your experiences are bad, mine are good. I was just adding a little balance to the discussion.
