Live Poker League is closing its doors today Friday 22nd May 2009
As from the above date the LPL will now merge into the Redtooth Poker League, which is one of the biggest if not the largest league out on the market.
Redtooth Poker will be able to offer a more professional setup, larger prize funds, bigger finals and overall a much better package then I am able to offer at the LPL
Redtooth Poker offers a different structure but no doubt will give former LPL players a new and exciting challenge!
Venues will switch over from the above date and will join ‘’season two’’ of the Redtooth Poker League
Venues will be given brand new tables, chips and cards, and information regarding the new setup.

I have had just the most amazing time in these past 4 years…and though with regret and a lot of sadness I felt I had given the league all that I had to give and it was time to move on and try something new…….

I'm pretty sure you get given a starting stack of 2000 with blinds starting at 25/50 increasing every 15 mins, then after 4 levels you get a break and an extra 1500 chips. Not sure how the blinds increase thou.
Shame but maybe its time for a change anyway!! Finals day were lets face it? a proper piss up!!

Yeah good luck with whatever you do next Mike. LPL was awesome and I met some weird and wonderful people through it, as well as providing some fascinating conversations about poker strategy.
I think we've all known that it's been on the cards for a while, but it's still no fun to hear it officially. Thanks loads, Mike, and if you're ever up in Manchester, give us a shout - there'll be a pint with your name on it.
