I have just started playing poker, can I just turn up at the Gladiator Inn in Gloucester and join in.

What are the player's like i.e pro or a mixture.

Welcome to the forum

In respect to the Gladiator Inn i have played there a few times and may be playing tonight and i can say its a very good place to play.

The standard is a mixture really there are some good players and some 'not so' good. But i can say everyone plays in a good spirt and are playing as they enjoy the game

You can just turn up and sign up for the day and get straight into playing.

Good luck if you do go i am sure you will enjoy the atmosphere and the banter at the table!!

The game starts at 7:30 so no need to get there too early. 7pm should be ok!!

Ben, see you tonight. No need to get there too early, the game starts at 7.30 PM and we normally get about 32 players. Watch out for Dave, and ALL IN Luke!

They are supposed to be starting a new night on Tuesdays at the Ridge and Furrow in Abbeydale, but I think there has been a hitch in getting it organised.

The Gladiator now hosts a double header on Friday evenings as well. Game 1 is at 7PM and game 2 starts at 10 PM. If you are in to on line poker, take a look at my website at http://www.whatpokersite.co.uk.
