    Default Card Covers

Thanks to RevStu for his orignal suggestion

We are going to bring in card covers to replace t-shirts as the prize for the winner of the evening.
The card covers will not come into effect until at least the middle of August due to the delay in processing the order, we will run down our t-shirt supply but won't be ordering anymore for the moment, so once the stocks of t-shirts are depleted we will have to wait until the card covers come in.

Also when the card covers come in we will bring in a system of so many wins and you will move up to a silver and then gold.
As a gold member there will be a special tornament or entry into a tornaments for these players.

If anyone has any suggestions to how we should run the Card Cover reward scheme i would be pleased to hear from you

Is a card cover one of those metal coin things people put on their cards?

    Yes.

They are also known as Card Protectors.
Mango: Anyone watching Graeme Norton? They've got that actress who was in that accident recently! Reece...
    s4ooter: Witherspoon?
    Mango: No, with a car.

I suggest that I get a free honorary one for coming up with the idea.

On a similar note, when is the new blind structure coming in. The jump from 200/400 to 500/1000 is too big and everybody is always moaning about it I look forward to a bit more play instead of it going to mostly all-ins from 9.30ish after the chip up.

Sorry for the delay regarding news of the Card Covers but all design work is now finished, and a completion date of 3 weeks has been set.

New Blind system is being handed out this week on a trial for one month, if people like it we will then get rid of the old system.

I'm never normally one to look a gift horse in the mouth, and whatnot, but anyone using a cardcover is going to look like a right old tösspöt

Wouldn't a small amount into a poker.co.uk account be a better reward, and also encourage the glorious victor to push a few more of their pennies into it as a result?

Obviously, I don't know how much the cardcovers cost, but from previous experience in the world of t-shirt manufacture (well, I printed up a run of 50 once), I'm guessing that your esteemed navy blue apparel will have come to about £4-5 each, and I'm sure people would snap your arm off at the thought of even a nominal $2 prize.

Then again, not everyone has internet access, and of those who do, there will be those who haven't got the inclination to spend hours prone in front of their monitor, watching in an ever depressed fashion as their pocket aces takes a beating from a spotty Swede who has gone all-in 8/9 suited pre-flop.

    Card covers it is, then.

    Cheerio,

    Ian
