The final was delayed a week due to the Football (FA Charity Shield)
Closing time is 10:30 so once again i will have to revise the blind levels to fit!.
Hope to see you at the tables.
Cheers

maybe an idea instead of rushing it maybe make it earlier?
here's a better idea. Don't hold the final in an area where you can't park. Given that 50+ people will be turning up, many of whom will have to travel for over an hour to get there only to have to drive around a one way system looking for somewhere to park.
Understandable that Bath should get it's chance to host a final as each area has been given the same chance but if the area isn't in the best interests of 90% of the people involved should it really be given that chance?
PS, I don't really care, I just thought there hasn't really been a good conversation on here for a while. It's always nice to give my public something to talk about while they're playing in the league. Yes, you people know who you are![]()
Yes, Bath does deserve to host the finals; Bath now hosts 5 poker league games a week. it cannot be ruled out of hosting finals days due to parking difficulties.
A large number of people who play in the Bath events are students, who do not have cars, nor a great deal of money to get cabs or trains and when the final is held in Bristol, Weston Super Mare or Gloucester they often cannot attend due to these constraints - therefore, I know for a fact that they look forward to the final being held in Bath, because they can walk there, just as people in Weston, Gloucester, etc look forward to the final being held in their local.
I agree that parking in Bath can be a problem. But as long as people leave plenty of time, there should not be a problem with finding somewhere to park. Even if it the multi storey in the centre of town and then just walk up Milsom Street.
well in that case I look forward to playing in a final with more than 4-5 players from Bath in it. It's always nice to take on new faces.especially tax dodgers !!!

There is a car park with over 1300 spaces less than 10 minutes walk from the venue (Charlotte Street). It has lights and security cameras. It is quite pricey, but that's Bath for you. Still, with some car sharing from those travelling I'm sure it would cost no more than a £1-2 ahead.
I live very near the Assembly, and on a Sunday, when most parking restrictions are lifted, it's not THAT hard to get parked somewhere within a minute or two's walk. Just give yourself a little time to look, don't try arriving at 3.57pm. And Christ, it can't be as hard to locate a parking spot as finding the Gladiator was last week...
