Explain staking please.

I get the general gist of what it is and understand most of it like asking for shares etc. But is it possible to get fully staked? An example for a big UK tournament say the buy-in is £1,000 or something? Are people buying people in the tourney then getting most of the profit?

YES it is possible to get fully staked. You might find it helps if you are a vampire!

Yeah, Stu Ungar wouldn't have been champion 3 times if he didn't get staked. Lots of the old school pro's had to get backing at some point in their life after going broke too.
