So I went down to my poker club last night and I realised they started a new poker league, the last one was for a WSOP side event, this one is for the Seville leg of the spanish poker tour, 1000Euro entry 150,000Euro guarranteed prizepool. The top 54 players in the league qualify for a freeroll for which the winner gets the seat.

The new league started on June 17th, the club is open 7nights a week, runs tournaments 6 of the 7 nights and awards league points for each night. I have played twice since the league started, one saturday night which I came 6th for £150 and one thursday where i split the £500 prize heads up and took £225 as the other guy had a massive chip lead.

Even though Iv only played twice in 4 weeks i find myself 47th in the league and have been told that if I play one night per week I should make the top 54 with a final table here and there (bonus points) but your chipstack in the freeroll depends on your points in the league, either 5 or 10x I dont know which yet but Id imagine 10x.

Thursday night is a £20 freezeout, £500 guranteed, but is a very slow night with less than 20 runners every week so has massive value and if played solidly pretty much guarantees bonus final table points.

Friday night is a £40 freezeout, £1500 guaranteed, normally around 40-50 runners and you get doube league points for playing this night plus the bonus if you reach the final table.

All of their tournaments give a 1k chip for being on time and offer a 2k chip for £5 to pay the dealers. both tournaments have a 25 minute clock throughout. With both bonus chips thursday is a 9k stack friday is a 13k stack.

My intentions were already to play every Thursday in August and September as I like the tournament but Id also like to play 6 of the 8 fridays, I was unsure whether to be backed in both Thursday and Friday games. If I ask for both it will be £470 entry for all tournaments, half put up by myself half by any backers, 50-50 on all winnings plus the bonus of a potential qualification into a massive event so I know its a long shot to qualify and then go on to cash but potentially could be a huge return.

Im looking for £235, £2.35 for 1% of half of any winnings, so if you had 10% for £23.50 before my recent results you would already have recieved £18.75 back.

I could potentially pay for this stake myself but £470 is alot of money for me to risk and I dont want to get off to a bad start and start playing with scared money and not play as well as I know I can, also I feel that I will play better if I know I have people relying on me and it will help keep me 100% motivated.
