Hi mate! Now as you know I am not one to complain about minor things, or spend time trawling the interweb looking for stuff to moan about......



Anyold hooo, Our beloved forum looks a bit amateur next to most others in the tabs/bookmarks/address areas. I am not a HTML codernerd, but it looks like the simpliest pimpliest thing to do...
Here's what I mean:


Our forum has no wee icon!

Good suggestion Wakou. I'll ask our Techie geezer how easy it would be to implement (I'm guessing very easy...)

'tis simple indeed Matt (I believe), one line (or at max 3 lines)...
Depending on your structure, can be as simple as getting an icon @16x16
and adding it to the root of:

http://www.gamblingnetwork.com/

with the name favicon.ico



Or there is a little helper app, available here:

FavIcon from Pics -- free favicon.ico for your website (animated, static, text, iPod icons)


Or you might have to add something like this in the "header" section

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/images/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />

With a 16x16 .ico file with the name favicon.ico in ~/images

I would be happy to do it for you (using an offline copy till I was 100% sure, obv)

Thanks Wakou. Very useful, and will be dead easy to implement using that. I'll get on to it as soon as I'm back in the UK (flight cancelled today due to snow... next available flight = Tuesday).
