Forum slow??

Matt and others have been in the chat box saying the forum was slow..
I did not really notice, but at 00:00ish 27/5/2010... Whooooosh much quicker.

That'll be the server move. We were on a server with some other very popular / high-traffic sites (and/or badly programmed ones hogging resources with infinite loops etc.), meaning the whole thing was slowing down somewhat. Now we're away from those buffoons the whole thing should run a lot smoother

Well just F-ing WOW I never really had problems, but the difference is extraordinary, if it is costing some $$ extry pa, it is well spent, I have never seen such a huge difference in website response before...

No, it's the same price. James (Admin) asked if we could move another site we run (Gamesforum.com Video Games Discussion and Gaming Community) to a less populated server from the same hosts, due to it running very slowly. It seems the server hosts moved all our sites, rather than just the one James asked to move (hence me not being aware of the move, and posting about it), but I'm bloody glad they did!

It is much much better, it was getting to the stage where I couldn't be bothered to read all of the new threads because of the slowness lately, now I can go back to wasting hours reading them again
